PSA ROI

PSA ROI calculator for MSPs

Estimate what a PSA with built-in automation could return from technician time saved and billing recovered, compared with what it costs.

How this calculator works

  • Hours saved = tickets per month × minutes saved per ticket ÷ 60.
  • Labor value = hours saved × loaded hourly cost × 12.
  • Billing recovered = monthly billed revenue × recovered % × 12.
  • ROI = (labor value + billing recovered − PSA cost) ÷ PSA cost.
  • Defaults are illustrative, not measured Corei results. Use conservative inputs.

What drives PSA ROI

PSA return usually comes from two places: less time spent on administrative work per ticket, and fewer billable hours, products or licenses slipping through unbilled.

Saved time only becomes value if it's redeployed to billable or project work, so treat the labor figure as capacity rather than guaranteed savings.

Being realistic

Start with small per-ticket savings and a low recovery percentage. If the result is still positive, the case is strong. Validate with a pilot before relying on any estimate.
